These are second generation mixed-media pieces. A small painting is scanned and printed ink on paper or ink on canvas revealing the sometimes hidden textures and layers of the painted piece. The piece is then worked again with acrylics, pastels and collage elements.

Printed using archival inks and papers, these photographic images are mounted onto wooden panels or printed on canvas. They are then painted into and often embellished. Because they begin as photographs, similar but not exact pieces can be made.
